This morning mummy dropped Casey off at school gate and wished her a lovely day with her friends and teachers. Just noticed another mummy trying to comfort her little girl. Her daughter seemed to be in tears. As always, I just kept it to myself and said nothing at all to anyone. Next minute, Casey said to me she would like to hold Amelia's hands to get inside the school as she seemed to need some help. Didn't realise Casey knew Amelia at all as they are not in the same year. Her act of sympathy and observance to the others made me feel a little bit ashamed. Like so many of us so called "adults", we don't normally show our emotions. Let alone reaching out for those who may appreciate a little bit of help. Lesson should be learned here.
