It was time for Casey to have a bath. I (Daddy) bathed her and left her to play in the bath. I went downstairs to see if mummy needed some help, suffice to say, I made more work to do. I just finished clearing up and went back upstairs to find that our darling had decided to save me some work. She had put down a mat on the floor, got out of the bath, dried herself off, moisturised herself with cream and had put on her clothes by herself. Mummy and I were surprised and very pleased that she had done so well. Well done Casey !!!
Mon 27th December 2010
After staying at Grandparents house for a few days over Christmas it was time to go home. By the time we got home Casey was asleep, so we put togther the dolls house that we got her for Christmas and placed it in her room. The next day we woke to find her very excited and already playing with her new toy. The joy expressed by Casey was enough to make everything that we have to do in life worthwhile.
Sat 25th December 2010
Casey received lots of presents from everybody, she opened all of hers and daddy's, mummy's, uncles, grandma's and grandpa's presents, come to think of it anything that was wrapped and put under the Christmas tree was opened very enthusiastically and with great delight by Casey. To her christmas had truly arrived.
Fri 24th December 2010
Auntie Gigi was playing mahjong and won "bau pang", she gave Casey "gau long chai". Casey took one look at what was given her and said "Is that all??" Everyone burst out laughing, as Casey was given a big denomination coin, but not understanding money, she thought that by only getting one coin and not lots she wasn't getting much. Children can make you laugh and be happy without meaning to sometimes. These moments are priceless and are treasured by me forever.
Mid December 2010
Casey has just broken up from school for the winter break. She has done really well this term and her report demonstrates this. I am really proud of her and what she has achieved. She is like a sponge which soaks up knowledge, she wants to learn, which is a very good thing.
Early December 2010
Daddy and Casey put up and decorated the Christmas tree. Casey was really excited and loved putting all the decorations on the tree. It looked lovely, unfortunately they didn't have time to put up the tinsel and other decorations. Casey kept asking daddy to put up the decorations. After the rest of the decorations went up, Casey said that there were none in her room. Oops......We had run out of decorations. This will have to be remedied ASAP.

Different love(s)
She suddenly turned around and told me that she loved mummy a lot. A lovely sensation went through my heart and body and I felt euphoric. Thinking that all the hard work was worth it. Only a minute later we walked passed a Macdonald's and Casey said to me she loved apple pie too...... oh bo.

Best Friend or Not
When we woke up in the morning last saturday, Casey seemed to be in a very good mood. I wondered if there was anything to do with the weekend. She knew she didn't have to hurry for her breakfast or anything else. She could just sit back and relax.
While we were sitting down on the sofa during breakfast, Casey said that she was my best friend. Mummy was really happy and felt loved by her little girl. Whilst I was still enjoying the special bond and giving her a big hug, Casey told me to get back to my place. My world just crumbled around me. Back to reality......

Belonging With
I just like how children's mind work. There is often no perception of any kind, simple, innocent and straight forward. I also sometimes adore they speak their mind. How better it would be if adults would do the same.

Jacket Potato
Anyway I baked some jacket potatoes at home yesterday and miracle happened. Casey liked it and finished quite a bit. Mummy's jaw dropped and couldn't believe it.

Casey is growing up fast, very fast, as this morning she told daddy that brushing teeth had to wait because she is painting her toenails blue and green. Furthermore, that she couldn't wear her slippers whilst she was brushing teeth as her nails had to dry and that afterwards she would do her fingernails. This was all pretend of course, but she has a good imagination, just look at the picture to see what she used as nail polish. You guessed it, blue and green cap bottles, where else would she get "nail polish" to paint her nails green and blue. I do like the colours chosen, don't you ??
11/2/2010 - Are there any gentleman apples?
We had just made a fruit salad after dinner and mummy was telling Casey what she had put into the fruit salad. As mummy explained that there were pink lady apples in the fruit salad, a very innocent Casey asked "Are there any gentleman apples?" at which point mummy told her without trying to laugh that there weren't any gentleman apples.
10/2/2010 - Casey is star of the day at school
When daddy was picking up Casey from school, he noticed that Caseys' picture wasn't on the happy sun (for being a good girl) or on the sad cloud (for being a naughty girl). After looking a bit further, he found her on the star of the day. Upon asking Casey if she was star of the day, she replied that she was and that she was a good girl and helped Mrs Werrett to tidy up the classroom. That night, Casey asked daddy to make a happy sun and sad cloud to put in the living room. After drawing them, Casey's picture was put on the happy sun because she was such a good girl at school and at home that day.
